Actor Terry Crews, who co-starred with Andre Braugher on Brooklyn Nine-Nine, took to Instagram to remember his former co-star.
“Can’t believe you’re gone so soon," the star wrote in the post.
"I’m honored to have known you, laughed with you, worked with you and shared 8 glorious years watching your irreplaceable talent.
“This hurts. You left us too soon. You taught me so much. I will be forever grateful for the experience of knowing you.”
Crews continued: "Thank you for your wisdom, your advice, your kindness and your friendship.
"Deepest condolences to your wife and family in this difficult time. You showed me what a life well lived looks like.

Andre landed his breakout role on TV drama
After his role in the 1989 film Glory, Andre Braugher went on to land his break-out role as Detective Frank Pembleton on the 1993 TV police drama Homicide: Life on the Street.
Andre since appeared on an array of hit shows and films including Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer, and Law & Order: SVU.
Due to his outstanding acting career, Andre received many accolades including two Emmy Awards and two Critics Choice TV Awards.
Cause of death revealed
Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, Andre Braugher's rep Jennifer Allen said the famed actor passed away on Monday, December 11, after suffering a brief illness.
The specific illness has yet to be confirmed.
